Delrin®
is a registered trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company for
its brand of acetal resin
Who can use the
Delrin®
Trademark?
In any field,
there can be only one original. The original polyacetal resin, discovered
and developed by DuPont, is marketed under the DuPont trademark Delrin®.
Today, products
sold by DuPont under its Delrin® trademark continue to maintain their
leadership positions. Proper, authorized use of the trademark can add
significant value to your products and business.
The Delrin®
trademark gives products the increased visibility generated by the
investment DuPont has made in promoting the brand over the years. When
the trademark is used properly on marketing materials, you and your customers
benefit from the positive values and images it represents.
Access to the
Delrin® trademark is typically reserved for customers who purchase
and use products made by DuPont and who have been authorized to use the
trademark by the relevant DuPont business. Contact the marketing personnel
in your DuPont business if you have questions about whether you can use
the trademark and how it should be used.
Some distributors
and formulators claim that their products are made with Delrin® when
in fact, they are not. This type of unauthorized use of the Delrin®
trademark is an infringement of trademark laws and constitutes an illegal
business practice. DuPont can take legal action against those who use
the trademark fraudulently, and will do so in order to protect the trademark,
our customers and our business.
